Philippe Guez

Philippe Guez studied percussions, piano and harmony but dedicates his work to “modern” music. He had the opportunity to collaborate with artists like Richard Clayderman, Yves Lecoq, Marc Lavoine, Maxime Le Forestier, D.Koven or Julien Clerc. After that, he joined the National Jazz Orchestra. He played with numerous artists such as Michel Colombier, Gil Evans, Randy Brecker, Courtney Pine and Quincy Jones. Since 2002, he works with Patrick Maarek. He composed the soundtrack for productions as « De Rouille et d’Os » (Audiard) or « Taken ». His three favorite albums are “Secret Life Of Plant” (Stevie Wonder), Haendel’s ”Concerti Grossi” and “The Mad Hatter” (Chick Corea).
